The Madhya Pradesh (MP) Chief Minister (CM) Helpline is an integrated public grievance redressal system (IPGRS), launched by the state government of Madhya Pradesh in 2014 under the Public Service Management Department. Citizens can register complaints and demands/suggestions about government schemes/services or government offices/departments such as Panchayati Raj, MP Police, and Urban Local Bodies.

As per the Madhya Pradesh Public Services Guarantee Act, 2010, every citizen has the right to public services with the guaranteed delivery of basic public services within a stipulated time frame. If not delivered, file a complaint against the respective department through the MP CM Helpline to the appointed Appellate Officer.

How to File a Complaint to CM Helpline, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh?

Madhya Pradesh Public Services Guarantee Act, 2010 has given the right to public services for the citizens of MP within a specified period by the Departments of the state government, public authorities, and local bodies (rural/urban).

For any complaints related to public services/schemes, local government officials, or the department/ministry, lodge a public grievance to appellate officers through the MP CM Helpline (Jan Hetu – Jan Setu), an Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System (IPGRS) portal. If not resolved, appeal to the Appellate Authority of the department.

Still, not resolved? If your escalated complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may write to the Appellate Authority at the Chief Minister Office (CMO) or approach the relevant regulatory or statutory authorities.

Note: In cases where the dispute is not resolved despite exhausting final appeals or engaging with appellate officers of the department, may consider pursuing legal action within regulatory bodies or judicial courts in Madhya Pradesh. Before initiating legal proceedings, one must take guidance from a legal expert to ensure a well-informed and suitable course of action.

File an Online Complaint

Required details to register a public complaint online through MP CM Helpline (Jan-Setu):

  • Complainant details: Name, mobile number, and address with district, block, and village/city.
  • Department/Ministry
    • Sub-Department
  • Nature of complaint
  • Description of the grievance with district, village/city, and local government office (if applicable)
  • Attach scanned documents or supporting evidence (pdf/images).

After successfully submitting your grievance, must keep a record of the token number or reference ID. You can track the status of your complaint and use it as a reference when appealing to higher authorities, if necessary.

If you have complaints related to Municipal Corporations, Municipalities, or Nagar Parishad/Panchayat, register a grievance to MP E-Nagar Palika.

Please Note: If you require additional information from government offices or departments of the state, you can file an online Right to Information (RTI) request with the respective departments or ministries of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Procedure

Follow the steps of the procedure to file a public grievance online through the MP CM Helpline IPGRS portal:

Step 1: Visit the link above.

Step 2: Login/Registration:

  • Click the “Submit complaint/demand suggestion (शिकायत / मांग सुझाव दर्ज करें)” button.
  • Read the disclaimer and tick the box.
  • Select “Complaint (शिकायत)” or ” Demand and Suggestion (मांग एवं सुझाव)”
  • Enter the Mobile Number and verify the OTP.

Step 3: Grievance Registration:

  • After successful login, you can see the grievance form
  • Fill out the required information (*)
  • Provide Complainant Information (शिकायतकर्ता की जानकारी) and Complaint Details (शिकायत का पंजीयन)
  • Attach supporting documents (If any)

Step 4: Click “Register (जन शिकायत को दर्ज करें)” to submit the form.

Step 5: Note down the reference number to track the grievance.
