Chief Minister Grievance Cell, also known as CM Helpline, is a public grievance office where citizens of Assam can write to the CM about grievances related to public services, welfare schemes, development, government offices, and departments of the Government of Assam.

Some examples of major departments against which a person can complain to Assam CM are:

  • Administrative Reforms, Training, Pension & Public Grievances
  • Finance
  • Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs
  • General Administration
  • Health & Family Welfare
  • Higher Education
  • Home Affairs (Assam Police, Security, etc.)
  • Housing and Urban Affairs
  • Judicial
  • Panchayat & Rural Development
  • Power (Electricity), Mines and Minerals
  • Public Works Roads

Have complaints against government offices, departments, or public service authorities in Assam? You can complain to the CM Grievance Cell via the CM Helpline Number or email. Additionally, you can file your grievance online through the Assam CM Grievance portal. If not resolved, you may re-submit the disputed matter concerning the previous complaint.

Register a Complaint to Assam CM

To initiate the online registration of your complaint Assam CM through the Helpline Number, Email, or Online Form, please provide the following details:

  • Complainant Details: Name, Email, and Mobile number
  • Subject of the complaint
  • Associated department, officer, or public service
  • Reference/Acknowledgement ID of previous complaints (if any)
  • Description with facts and reason for dissatisfaction with previous response by officials (if any)
  • Attach copies of original supporting documents, images, etc.

After successful submission, you may ask for the reference ID to know the status of your grievance.

If you have complaints regarding pension (government employees), you can complain online through the “Sadbhavna Grievance Portal.”

Have complaints related to Central Government Offices/Ministries or Schemes? Register your grievance through the “Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).”

How to Write to CM?

Step-by-step procedure to write to CM about any grievance, demand, or query related to departments, government services, or development in Assam:

  • Visit the official Assam CM website at “https://cm.assam.gov.in/
  • Click “Write to Chief Minister”
  • Choose a method to register your grievance: by Calling, Fax Number, Email, or Postal Address.
  • You may also submit the given online form.
  • In the form, provide your contact details, attach supporting documents, and describe the disputed matter or query.
  • Click “Send Message” to submit your complaint.

You may also ask for the reference ID (if not provided) to track the status or re-submit the complaint again, if not resolved.
