Central Power Distribution Corporation of A.P. Ltd. (APCPDCL) is a government-owned public utility company that distributes power to seven districts in Andhra Pradesh, namely Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa and Kurnool. It was formed in 2019, as per the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL).

Level 2: Escalate a Grievance to Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), APCPDCL
As per the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission – Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum Vidyut Ombudsman and Consumer Assistance Regulation 2016 and the Electricity Act, 2003, Central Power Distribution Corporation of A.P. Ltd. has constituted Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), an autonomous body for the consumer complaints.
So, if your lodged complaints to APCPDCL are not resolved within 60 days to your satisfaction within the given resolution period, register your complaint with the CGRF Forum. You can submit a written grievance letter or an online form.
Required Details
Required details to lodge a grievance to the CGRF Forum of APCPDCL:
- Name and Address of the Complainant: The person who has a grievance related to the electricity service of APCPDCL should provide their full name and postal address.
- Nature and Details of the Grievance: The complainant should describe the nature and details of their grievance, such as billing issues, power cuts, meter problems, etc. Mention the date and time of the occurrence of the grievance. Include the name and designation of the concerned officer or staff of APCPDCL, if any.
- Evidence and Documents: Attach any relevant evidence and documents to support the grievance, such as bills, receipts, photographs, correspondence, etc. Mention if any previous complaints were lodged with the concerned officer or staff of APCPDCL and the outcome of those complaints, if any.
- Relief Sought: Specify the relief or remedy sought from the CGRF, such as correction of bills, compensation, restoration of service, etc. Mention the amount of compensation claimed, if any, and the basis for such a claim.

Level 3: File a Petition to Electricity Ombudsman, Andhra Pradesh
The Electricity Ombudsman Office, operating under the authority of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) and governed by the APERC (Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum & Electricity Ombudsman) Regulations and the Electricity Act, 2003, functions as an independent quasi-judicial entity for addressing consumer disputes with licensees.
Consumers who are not satisfied with the final order or have unresolved complaints from the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) of APCPDCL within 60 days can file a complaint with the Electricity Ombudsman (EO).
