T-Mobile Franchise Monopoly

Language:

To whom this may concern,

On July 10th, 2024, I visited a T-Mobile store located on 410 Hialeah Dr, Hialeah Fl 33010 because I wanted to change from AT&T. I just want to report that this store and the manager provided complete false information about the services provided by T-Mobile. The manager, Ernesto, advised me that I was forced to activate an $18 phone coverage with them and keep it for 4 months before I could remove it. I was also advised that the phone plan came with Netflix included, which it was a lie, because I later called T-Mobile and confirmed it. Also, I had the coverage that was forced onto my bill removed. I called Apple myself to acquire AppleCare through them, and they said my phone was not eligible because it was past the 60 days. I just bought the phone. Apple then reset the purchase date of the phone, and advised that I would be able to buy AppleCare within 3 days. It was not the best first impression or experience when switching phone carriers. It feels like they are forming their own monopoly within that specific store to trap people into their franchised location.
