Reliance Jio Care: Lodge a Complaint about Jio Prepaid/Postpaid, Fiber, and Jio Business

Reliance Jio, officially known as Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, a parent company of Reliance Industries Limited, is a telecommunications company. Jio provides various telecom services, such as 4G LTE, 5G and 4G+ network connectivity home broadband, Jio Airfiber, Wi-fi, and telephone services.

Despite its services, customers can report about these services:

  1. Jio Mobile Services: Prepaid/postpaid problems, network issues (5G, 4G, 3G), slow internet, and international roaming.
  2. Payment and Recharge: Balance payments, subscription issues (Jio Prime), and transaction problems with JioPay.
  3. SIM Management: SMS delivery, SIM blocking/unblocking, porting issues, and lost SIM replacement.
  4. Jio Service Features: Call features (e.g., call divert), DND settings, international roaming, and internet connectivity.
  5. Jio Broadband/Fiber Services: No/Slow internet connectivity, set-top box problems, and WiFi calling.
  6. Jio Payment Bank/Wallet: KYC verification, transaction issues, account blocks, saving account restrictions, and opening new accounts.

How to File a Complaint to Jio?

According to Citizen Charter to file a complaint online with Jio, you can call their customer care, submit a web form, or use the MyJio app and official social media channels. Make sure to note down the reference or ticket number provided after you submit your complaint for future reference.

According to the customer service policy of Jio, the resolution mechanism is divided into 3 levels.

  • Level 1: File a Complaint to Jio Customer Service through:

  • Level 2: File an informal complaint to Nodal Officer, Jio
  • Level 3: Appeal to Consumer Protection Authority and TRAI

    • Appeal to National Consumer Forum (NDRC)
    • Start Mediation or Take Legal Action

Please noteReport consumer disputes against Jio like billing disputes or service quality to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or the Banking Ombudsman of RBI (Reserve Bank of India) for Jio Payment Bank and Loan disputes.

When speaking with a customer care representative, be ready to provide the following information:

When lodging your concern, please provide the following information:

  • Your name or Jio customer ID
  • The topic of your complaint
  • A brief description of the issue, including any relevant document references (if applicable)
  • Screenshots for troubleshooting

Remember to keep the reference number for future tracking and escalation. For troubleshooting issues related to wireless and broadband services, make use of the MyJio app or your web account.

Level 2: Escalate to Jio Nodal Authority

If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided by Jio Care or your complaint is unresolved, escalate the case to Jio’s Nodal Authority. You can contact the Nodal Officer through the helpline number, email, or by submitting an escalation form online.

Procedure to Escalate a Grievance to the State Nodal Officer:

  3. Contact Customer Executive: Dial the contact number 18008893999. Mention your reference number and describe your issue.
  4. Email Jio Appellate Authority: Send an email with a detailed description of your problems and attach any relevant documents.
  5. Visit the Nearest Office: If required, visit the nearest Jio Appellate Authority office.
  6. Escalate to TRAI: If still unresolved, escalate your complaint to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) or Consumer Forum.

Write to the Grievance Officer

If you need to report a violation of intellectual property rights related to content or privacy on Jio’s platforms, file a complaint with the Jio Grievance Officer.

Send your email to the designated grievance officer at grievance.officer@jio.com with appropriate supporting documents.

Required details:

  • Title of the content or series, privacy/personal details, including specific content if applicable.
  • Nature of the complaint.
  • Date and time of the alleged violation, if known.
  • Your contact details, including name and address.

Important: Ensure all required details are provided, as incomplete submissions may result in your complaint not being considered. Must provide reference of content in question and supply evidence of the original content.

Have your telecom complaints not been resolved within 30 days? Consider escalating the case to a higher regulatory authority such as the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) or the consumer forum (Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission).
